I use this question to finish up a month long focus on the second coming. In my time I have heard this question asked many times. If I were to generalize, mostly from older people, but there might be times in all of our lives we question the validity of our salvation. If this message does not hit the spot, read Romans 3 and 4. It has taken me a few days to get it up here - a couple of technical difficulties I hope are now sorted.

But in this message I show how our lives now are a lot like Babylon, and the fiery furnace for the 3 hebrews. We are told Babylon (you know, the bad stuff will fall, this was the message to Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel and his three friends too. Nebuchadnezzar tried to make Babylon never fall with the image of gold, and the 3 Hebrews had to decide who they were going to believe, God or the dreaming King. We have to decide today - whether to follow the commandments of God and keep the faith in Jesus, or go for Babylon. Not sure there is much middle ground. I hope you enjoy.

But I have edited the worst of it all out - and you should be left with the first of my summer “Second Coming” messages. Our church is often open to the accusation of sitting around and waiting for Jesus to come. Depending on the state of our lives we might be very happy to wait, or, pretty desperate that Jesus doesn’t come back sooner. So I have gone to a well known and much loved Adventist text - I Thess 4:13-18 and explored the notion of a wait worthwhile - in a message called here - The End Justifies the Means.
