This page is designed to let you know a little about who I am while helping those of you preparing for things I might be speaking at.  Use this information as you need.

I am currently the pastor of a church on the central coast of California.  The town I live in has about 45,000 people, and about 20,000 students.  So my church is very student oriented.  

I used to be a youth pastor, but came to the realization that the most influential, important person in setting direction for youth in a church is the senior pastor.  So I jumped.  I started to imagine what a church could be like if it stopped trying to make youth like it just the way it was, and set about becoming relevant and real.  It is not easy.  I am 7 years in now, and feel like I am only just beginning to get a grip on this.  So I am a pastor of a youth church - but more than that - my dream, a truly generational church.  Where faith and purpose hopefully gets passed on.  The gospel is lived, seen and shared.

Outside of my job I spend as much time as I can with my kids Claira (4th grade) and Austin (2nd grade).  

I love mac computers and trying to make cool movies (cool is a relative thing you know!)  

I also try and take intentional steps to look after the planet.  It is not a Global warming thing, it is a caring for people thing.  I hope my life is starting to reflect this.

In my retirement I will sort the many (many) stamps that I have and restore my ‘04 Scion xb I currently drive.  

Other than all this, I try and stay connected to the King of the universe, thanking Him for Jesus my Savior and read/learn/discover what He might be calling me to each day. Though it hasn't been easy, it has been a great ride so far, and worth the "growth pains".
